A great way to help our costal ecosystem and the sharks that inhabit it with us is to reuse and recycle. For this craft we will be making fun desk friend that can accompany you during the long days of online learning or work!

Instructions
Step 1: Use the template to cut out the shark's fins and head from a piece of thin cardboard. Play around with the size and shape of the head and fins if you want to!
Step 2: On one end of the toilet paper roll cut two small lines directly across from each other. This is where the sharks head will slip in.
Step 3: On the other end of the tube cut two more small lines directly across from each there but each cut should be 90 degrees away from the cuts made for the head. These second cuts are for the tail fin.
Step 4: In line with one of the cuts made for the tail fin make a small cut in the middle of the tube for the top fin. Parents help is really good during this step. ( if cutting the slot for the top fin is to difficult you can attach the top fin in a similar way to how we will soon attach the side fins)
Step 5: To attach the side fins, take each side fin and bend about a quarter to half an inch from the straight edge to make a right angle. Use this little flap you just created to glue the fin to the shark's body.
Step 6: With all the sharks fins now attached you can paint it! Most sharks are brown, grey, or blue on top with white undersides but you can paint yours however you like.
